Obituary

Adele Cecelia Rosamlia
December 10, 1933 – July 8, 2023

Joseph John Rosamilia
August 5, 1934 – July 15, 2023

Adele passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with dementia and suffering a stroke in February 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing and was listening to her grandson Tommy's voice singing "The Prayer" when she transitioned. She loved sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and New York Mets fan. She worked as a Secretary for the Nassau County Dept. of Drug & Alcohol in New York for well over 20 years until her retirement in 1991 when the family relocated to Florida. She then worked as a Secretary for the Broward County Water & Wastewater for over 20 years until her retirement in 2018 at the age of 84, due to an injury.

Joseph passed away unexpectedly after undergoing an Outpatient Hernia operation; complications developed that he was unable to recover from. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and worked for over 35 years as a Photo Lab Technician at Time Life Magazine. After the move to Florida he worked as a Limo Driver for the Boca Resort and had the opportunity to meet some celebrities such as Chevy Chase, Regis Philbin & Rita Rudner.

They were the best parents that anyone could ever ask for, even though Dad & I butted heads often, they were always there when anyone needed them. We grew up living in a house with my Dad's parents and were taught the value of having a loving & caring family. On August 13, 2023 they would have celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary. They had a way about them that made anyone who came to their home instantly feel like family.

They were preceded in passing by their parents, Mildred & Charles LaCroix; step-father, Gustave Hennigan and Kathryn and Joseph Rosamilia; their son, Michael; their 2 daughters, Tammy Rosamilia & Victoria Paduano; and Adele's sisters, Mildred Chianese and Virginia Adamic.

They are survived by their daughter, Virginia "Jean" Rosamilia; their son-in-law, Richard Paduano; their 2 grandchildren, Richard & Thomas Paduano; and their 4 great grandchildren, Marlee & Jasper Mallady and Ryder & Ronin Paduano.
