It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adele Hope Valenti of Glen Allen, Alaska. Adele was born in Brooklyn, New York to Dominick Valenti & Josephine Riservato on January 3, 1942.

After graduating High School, studying and singing at the Julliard School of the Arts in NY, Adele began performing with the Kingston Trio for a short period of time. She would eventually meet and elope to California with her true love, Raymond LaVere. They eventually moved from Brooklyn to Bay Shore, NY raising 3 children while living next to her mother, Josephine. There, Adele pursued her new career as a hairdresser for many years. Adele followed her mother and relocated to West Palm Beach, FL where she continued her life and career cutting hair. After opening a beauty salon she successfully became an organizer for the Lord and Taylor Co. and created the process of Naturalizing for hair. Her cosmetology success had her rubbing elbows and doing hair for the rich and famous. This gave her the opportunities to be cast in some movies, radio shows, and even cutting the President's wife's hair; all of which she enjoyed.

Some of her loves and hobbies were, singing, music, horseback riding, being involved with all of her kids activities whether it be sports, Cub Scouts, breeding dogs, camping, and spending time with family and friends, etc.

Adele then moved to Alaska to pursue her education and she received a Masters Degree in Psychology and went to work for the State of Alaska. Her primary duties were treating Aborigine mental health patients along with working with teens that had drug and alcohol addictions. She also loved her work and continued to excel. Adele loved Alaska. It spoke to her in her faith and spirit. The family of Alaskans' fit her personality. Always making friends and keeping up with the family, she retired from her position and pursued her award winning artistry. Her work was always featured on Etsy. Adele loved her home in the Copper Valley Basin and that is where Adele found her happiness and true peace in life. She often traveled to Florida and New York to see family and friends to escape the rough Alaskan winters & made it very clear to all that she was staying in Alaska, by her mountain.

Adele adored her grandkids and would do anything to spend time with them. Adele also loved her little toy Yorkie companion named Scruffy. Scruffy was her best friend and was always by her side which kept her strong and happy even through the numerous and countless battles over the years with Cancer which she beat.

Her faith and will to live kept her strong. Even 'til the end, Adele had her family, her faith and "her mountain."

Adele was preceded in passing by her husband, Raymond (2010); daughter, Toni-Ann (2025); brother, Richie (2025); and her parents, Dominick and Josephine.

She is survived by sons, Steven and Curt; grandchildren, Courtney, Alexis, Nico and Nicole; and siblings, Geri, Bobby, Jo Jo and Millie.
