He was b orn on October 21, 1953, in Mexico City. He was the second son of Maria Guadalupe Cruz and Jesus Lara. From his first commitment, he had three children , Edgar, Veronica and Brian; in his second commitment he had a daughter, Angela; and with his current wife, he had three sons, Julio, Leury and Jesus.

From his very own handwriting , the following are words that his son Jesus, found on his desk ...

" I arrived in the USA at the age of 16 ; I was just a young kid coming out from under my mom's coverage. I was a child who was exposed to everything, but God was with me all the time . After working in the field for a few months, one afternoon, an American couple came offering me work, and at that time, I accepted and went with them to live an adventure that I never imagined would happen in my life ..."

Alfredo was a very funny and also angry person. He was amusing and always made a joke about every thing. He was a very responsible and hardworking man; an excellent provider for his family.

As a husband , although he was not very detailed, and forgot special dates, he was a true servant in his home , and Home Depot was his favorite place, his home away from home, because literally, he was the Mexican version of " Bob the Builder " and " Handy Manny ," always responding to the call of his beloved wife when s he wanted to decorate or do remodeling in their home, and his very loving response to her was always, " okay, I have pleased you ". He didn't like going out or traveling very much , but when his wife would ask him to, again, Alfredo "would please her."

As a father and grand pa , his children , Edgar, Veronica, Bryan, Angela, Julio, Leury and Jesus, and his grandchildren, Jasmin, Mya, Julian, Kaiah , and Catalina , would call him an " excellent father and grand pa ." And he left them a tremendous legacy as a responsible person. He loved his job to the point that even when he was sick, he would try to go to work.

As a provider , he recognized the sig nificance and commitment he had with his family to provide them with everything they needed so they would never lack in anything. And everyone knew when Dad got home , because when he walked through the door , he always shouted , " GREETINGS!!! …. GOD BLESS YOU!!!"

He liked to gi ve people nicknames; Rosa he called Trompi or Baby , Jesus he called Osito , Brian he called su Negrito , Karla he called Pinguina , and Fefa he called Colora , just to name a few. He also liked riding a bike and was always learning " how to manage his cell phone . "

He enjoyed a beer and eating peanuts when watching his soccer games . He also liked to shout , " Viva Mexico ." His favorite foods were tacos or tortillas, pozote and noodle soup, which he didn't even like when he was a child, but in a season of his life in the USA, he ate it almost every day, because it was the only thing to eat , and that's why it became one of his favorite meals. He also enjoy ed h is hobbies at home with barbecues and quesadillas.

As a friend , he was very faithful to them and always invited them to watch soccer games at his house, and everyone called him " Mexico ". He also liked to speak of his " C ompadre Nicolás ," as he considered him his best friend; Alfredo knew him from the day Nicolas arrived in the USA.

In his spiritual life , he remembered when he attended a marriage meeting, where he came to live a very special experience with God. He also celebrated his moments of Bible reading and prayer with his family. His favorite movie was, " God IS NOT dead ;" which he saw many times . He also adopted from his C ompadres and Pastors , Nicolas & Beatriz Venegas , the way they end the services at the ir church by repeating, " Amen, Amen, and Amen !" His favorite verses were …
