On July 30, 2026, just one month shy of her 98th birthday, Anna Gloria passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.  She had a long, fulfilled life.  Anna was born in Bronx, New York on August 30, 1928.  She was the youngest of 7 children.  She is predeceased by Angelo Cappiello, Theresa Ciampi, Marie Capozzi, Irene DiLeone, Vito Cappiello and Carmela Yobak.  She lost her one and only love, John Gloria, way too early in 1995.  She has numerous nieces and nephews who unfortunately predeceased her as well.  In a perfect world, they all greeted her as she entered eternal life with God.

She leaves behind her daughter, Joanne Agostinelli and son-in-law Gerard Agostinelli.  If you knew Anna, you knew she was a perfectionist, and she always said God took 10 years to give her one perfect daughter. Gerard was like the son she never had and he took care of her like she was his own mom.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Erica (and Richard) Aaronson, Daniel Agostinelli and Victoria (and Michael Grey) Agostinelli.  The lights of her life were her great grandchildren, Tyler (10), Zachary (7) and Lillian (4).  She was blessed to know them and to spend most days playing, singing and dancing with them.

Anna was a bookkeeper in her early days until she retired in 1989, when her first granddaughter was born.  She loved to cook, clean and make sure everyone had what they needed.  She was a generous soul and welcomed anyone into her home with food and a smile.  If you didn't have a second helping, she thought you didn't like her food.

She had so much love for her nieces and nephews.  She grew up in a very close knit Italian family where everyone was always together.  Her family will always cherish the times they shared and reflect on these memories to this very day.

In 1999, she moved to Coral Springs, Florida with her daughter and family.  She enjoyed the Florida weather, always soaking in the sun.  Since she always said she was ice cold, she loved defrosting in the backyard. She cooked every night and was always asking what we wanted to eat tomorrow before we even finished our meal.  Through the years, she would baby sit for all of Joanne's friends' children.  She was everybody's "Gram".  She was at every special event–birthdays, sacraments, high school graduations, college graduations, holidays, births, sports games.  Her favorite place to eat was Outback!

Anna was never keen on having animals in the house, yet she sure loved every pet we brought home.  Her favorite pet was Nico, a black cat who moved with us to Florida, and Jeter who never left her side.

Anna was determined to live long enough to be present at Victoria and Michael's wedding, but unfortunately God called her home sooner. She will most definitely have a seat saved for her.

For our Florida family, services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 6pm at Monarch Funeral Home.

For our New York family, services will be held at the Gates of Heaven cemetery.  More information to come.
