Ansel Anthony Walker, 73, of Margate, FL entered eternal rest on May 9, 2022. Born in Jamaica to Isaac and Fidelia Walker, he was the first of eight children and earned the affectionate childhood nickname "One Son." Ansel relocated to the United States where he was proud to become a citizen.

Ansel spent most of his career working for Norwegian Cruise Lines as a maitre'd, an occupation he fully enjoyed because it kept him on the ocean which was his happy place; he also worked for Westin Hotels in the service industry. In his free time he loved playing dominos, a game he was a master of. Blessed with an infectious smile and huge heart, Ansel was the first to help others in need. He was a loving, caring, people pleaser who loved good food and enjoyed life. His favorite pastime was fishing and being near the water.

Ansel married Janet Bennett in 1971; and while their marriage wouldn't last forever as they'd hoped, they were blessed with five sons: Warren, Bevin, Orville, Drew and Marlando.

Ansel met his current wife Mary, while she was on a cruise with friends. Captured by his warm personality (and extra table service), a friendship grew to love, and they married in 2000. The union gave Ansel not only a wife, but also an expanded blended family, adding five step-daughters.
Ansel is preceded in death by his former wife Janet; his eldest son Warren; his parents; and half-brother Delroy Walker.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary; sons Bevin, Orville, Drew and Marlando; step-daughters Deborah L, Janice and Sharon Whitted, Leslie Whitted (Prellwitz) and Marla Whitted (Worthman); siblings Vincent, Bertel, Lydia (Moore), Isaac Jr., Lenworth, and Oral; and a host of beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
