Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Alphonso Hall, 70, of North Lauderdale, FL  joined the Lord on January 26, 2021. He was the third of four sons born to the late Delroy Hall and Catherine Reynolds. In 1966, he and brothers William and Barrington migrated to the US, Mt. Vernon, New York to join family.
Tony first met Beverly (Huxtable) while attending St. Andrew Technical High School in September 1965. In 1971, Tony joined the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. After completing his service in the US Army, Tony returned to civilian life. He also attended Parsons School of Design in New York to further his art skills.
In 1972, Tony married the love of his life, Beverly, in Mount Vernon, New York. They later moved to Yonkers on the Hudson River with their young family and would commute to work daily to Manhattan. After a few years of marriage, three children later, and having enough of the cold weather, Tony moved his family in 1981 to South Florida. After arriving in South Florida, Tony found work at American Express in Plantation where he worked for 18 years, he was a very hard worker and received many awards for his service before retiring.
Tony had a great passion for music and the Arts. He was a prolific bass guitarist who performed in several Reggae bands and recordings over the years from New York to Florida also backing numerous Reggae stars such as Derrick Morgan and Ken Boothe to name a few. Tony was a kindhearted and loving person who was always smiling and willing to help anyway he could. Tony was also a talented artist who traveled all over with his art displays, exhibiting his work at various community shows including the African American Research Library in Fort Lauderdale. He often donated his art to several political campaigns, and many other fundraisers, such as Cancer Walk of Coral Springs, Alzheimer's Charity Women Celebrating Women, and Josiah's Mission in Manchester, Jamaica.
Anthony was a man of great faith, always trusting the Lord would guide, protect and provide for him and his family. An amazing father who would always give great advice, wanting everyone to succeed. To know him was to love him, his smile, his charm, his sharp wit, his warm embrace,
and his caring heart. Left to cherish his memory is wife, Beverly, of 49 years; their children, John (Sabina), Christopher, Anthony Jr, Michael, Christal, and Phillip; his grandchildren, Jordan (Latrice), Tatiana, Josiah, Khaleel, Anjelica, Jayden, Tessa, Natari, Nasir, Mariah and Troy; his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Jayce, Isaiah, Kiro, Ladanian and Lashayla; his siblings, Errol (Janet), William (Audrey), Barrington, Horace (Sheddean), Carson (Garcia) Stapleton, Andrea (Damian) Facey, Lisa Stapleton and Maureen (Daniel) Simmonette; many more nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins  and friends.
We pray that God will grant him eternal peace and rest.
