Obituary

Antonio Robert Rogliano passed peacefully on December 30, 2021 with his devoted daughter by his side.  He was born in 1921 in Bronxville, NY and lived most of his early life in Tuckahoe, NY.  He enlisted in the US Army Air Forces in 1942 and was stationed in Calcutta, India.  He became Staff Sergeant and was a Chief Cryptographic Technician of the 114 th Army Communications System Squadron.  He met the love of his life, Joan, in Calcutta and they were married in April of 1946.  After honeymooning in Darjeeling, they journeyed to New York in June of 1946, where they started their family.

"Tony" had many jobs in his early years, working in family businesses.   He was a very hard worker with an impeccable work ethic.

When he moved back to New York after his military service, Tony began climbing the ladder of success with a career in finance.  He was a bookkeeper, accounting supervisor and internal auditor and at Fuller, Smith and Ross, an advertising agency in New York City, he became secretary treasurer.  He was transferred to Cleveland, Ohio in the summer of 1960. After years with FSR, he landed a job with International Management Group in 1977 and began working exclusively on Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Tony Jacklin and Jackie Stewart's accounts.  In 1986, Arnold offered him a job at Bay Hill Club in Orlando and he and his wife jumped at the chance to move to Florida.  They bought a home nearby and settled in Orlando where Tony eventually retired in 1991.  In 1994 they relocated to Coconut Creek to be closer to family, as much of his New York family had moved to South Florida.  He was an avid golfer and bowler and stayed active working out and playing tennis long after retirement.

He is the last of his family of origin to survive, as he was only 11 days from turning 101.  He is predeceased by his father Paul, Mother Ethel, Sister Gloria, Brother Paul ("Babe") and Brother, Ron.  He is also predeceased by his wife of nearly 70 years, Joan, and a granddaughter, Stacey.

Tony is survived by his three daughters, Toni Ann, Debra and Joyce; Five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  Up until his passing, there were five generations living.  He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and their children and will be deeply missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Donations in his memory may be made to VITAS hospice service, as they were an endless support for both him and his wife.
