Arthur Persico, Jr., 92, of Coconut Creek, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at home in Florida surrounded by the love of his family. Art was born in Connecticut on April 26, 1934, to Italian immigrants Arthur Persico and Mary Russo of Darien.  He is survived by his children, John Cerone and Perri Ann; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Rose Marie; and son, Michael Arthur.

Arthur is a Darien High School graduate, class of '53. Art was a decorated sergeant in the Marine Corp. As a civilian he worked for several years as a security guard. Art had a great work ethic, and it showed in all that he did. He enthusiastically greeted people with a smile and a helping hand.

Arthur liked golfing, though he had a passion for all sports and while once a NY Giants and Yankee fan, he came to enjoy watching the Miami Dolphins and Marlins.

Arts' greatest joys were spending time with his family especially while attending church. His favorite pastimes included watching old shows, particularly M*A*S*H, also going to restaurants like IHOP and Red Lobster. He relished steak and shrimp. Art also adored animals and was devoted to walking his dog around his community.

Art was described as a gentleman and a very nice guy. He will be tremendously missed by all who knew him and always remembered with a smile on his face.
