Ayşe Deniz Uybadin, 36, Ethereal Healer and Champion for Nonverbal Children, Passes On

Ayşe Uybadin, a luminous and singular spirit whose compassion, intellect, and creativity touched countless lives, passed away at the age of 36.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst and clinical leader, Ayşe devoted her professional life to helping nonverbal children find their voices. Her impact was far-reaching, not only through direct care, but as a visionary mentor and divisional leader in the field of applied behavioral analysis. She approached her work with reverence and precision, always seeing the light in others, even when it was dimmed by challenge or silence. An avid life- long learner, she obtained her masters degree in professional behavior analysis from Florida Institute of Technology, her bachelors degree in philosophy from Florida Atlantic University, and her associates degree from Palm Beach State College.

Beyond her clinical brilliance, Ayşe was a deeply spiritual, artistic soul. Her interests spanned astrology, philosophy, music, and writing—each a portal through which she expressed her rich inner world. Her voice, both literal and symbolic, was unmistakably her own—gentle yet powerful, celestial yet grounded. To those who knew her, she seemed to exist partly in another realm, and her presence always evoked wonder, beauty, and mystery.

Ayşe is survived by her mother, Carmen Uybadin; her father, Mehmet Uybadin; and her beloved identical twin sister, Maxim Uybadin. She is also survived by her aunts Ligia Azucena Ordonez, Glenda Argenal, Yadira Andrade, Ada M. Argenal, Inci Odom, Gül Uybadin, and Yasemin Berkson; her uncles Errol Frik, Juan Francisco Argenal, Hernan Argenal, Francisco J.  Argenal, Oscar A. Argenal, Carlos R. Argenal, and her cousins Marlon Muñoz, Jose Luis Flores, Ligia Guralnick, Oscar Benitez, Laritza Cummings, Hakan Frik, Deniz Frik, Ateş Uybadin, and Rafaella Mowad. She is preceded by her grandmother and grandfather on her father's side Refia and Raşit Uybadin, her grandfather and grandmother on her mother's side Juan Francisco Argenal Sr. and Estela Reyes, and her uncles Victor Argenal, Orlando Argenal, and Bulent Uybadin.

Her absence leaves a profound silence, but her legacy lives on in every child she helped speak, every colleague she uplifted, and every life she quietly transformed with grace.

She was, and remains, irreplaceable.

A Tribute to Ayse

In loving memory of a once-in-a-lifetime soul

There are no words that can fully carry the weight of what we've lost.

And yet, here I am, writing — because Ayse deserves to be seen, remembered, and honored in her full radiance. Not as a tragedy, not as a diagnosis, not as a statistic — but as the rare, gifted, unrepeatable being that she was.

Ayse was not just my sister.

She was my twin, my other half, my soul mirror — the only person in this world who saw me fully before I ever had to explain myself. We didn't always live easy lives. But we lived honestly, creatively, and with an invisible tether between us that not even death can sever. She is still here. I feel her. She walks with me now, just beyond the veil.

An Otherworldly Light

Ayse had a spirit that didn't belong entirely to this world.

She always moved as though she were straddling dimensions. Her presence was quiet but piercing. Her eyes held galaxies. Her thoughts cut straight to the heart of things. And her aura was unmistakably ethereal — she had the kind of beauty and frequency you don't encounter twice in one lifetime.

Ayse was the kind of person you don't just meet — you encounter her, like a powerful dream, or a message from beyond. She reminded people of fairies, mystics, and celestial beings. Her style reflected that, too — poetic, symbolic, sensitive, surreal.

Ayse also had a wicked and delightful sense of humor. She could make me laugh like no one else—with her sharp, truthful insights, her mischievous sparkle, and her goofy exuberance. Even as she grappled with the weight of her illness, there remained a part of her that was still deeply connected to her inner light and joy. That joy would burst through in the form of spontaneous dances, hilarious impressions, or playful banter that lit up even the darkest days. I will forever miss the way she would crack me up with the kind of humor that only someone who truly sees you can bring. Her laughter is one of the sounds I will carry with me always.

A Gifted Mind, A Heart-Centered Healer

Despite facing the challenges of schizoaffective bipolar disorder — a diagnosis that captures only a fraction of her inner world — Ayse remained profoundly wise, intuitive, and gifted. She was a natural astrologer, self-taught and deeply resonant in her interpretations. She built a YouTube channel by herself and earned over a thousand organic followers — a testament to her clarity and spiritual frequency before algorithms ever favored visibility.

But more than anything, Ayse was a deeply talented and heart-led behavior analyst. Her work with children — many of whom were nonverbal or had complex communication needs — was nothing short of transformative. Under her care and instruction, her clients made astonishing progress. But what made Ayse's clinical work so remarkable was the quiet grace with which she offered it.

The children she supported would often meet behavioral and communication goals effortlessly, just through being in relationship with her. That's the mark of a masterful behaviorist: when the clinical process becomes invisible, and what remains is joy, connection, and healing. Ayse embodied that.

She didn't just change lives — she elevated them. She healed, empowered, and awakened the voice in so many children who had previously gone unheard.

A Loss That Should Never Have Happened

It feels unbearably cruel that the world never gave Ayse the full arc she deserved — the joy, the romance, the recognition, the ease. She had so much left to express. So much love still to give. And even after years of abandonment and betrayal, she still carried her heart gently in her hands.

She tried — harder than most will ever understand. And in the end, her body and mind bore more pain than any one person should be expected to carry alone. But even now, I believe her spirit is free — no longer confined, no longer isolated. I believe she has expanded. I feel her with me. I always will.

To Those Who Remember Her

To anyone reading this who truly knew her,

I ask that you remember Ayse in her essence:

Fierce and gentle. Wise and wounded.
A healer, even when she was hurting.
A poet, even when she had no page.
A soul from elsewhere, whose light we did not deserve — but were blessed to receive, even briefly.

To those who failed her — you were given something rare, and you didn't recognize it. But she still showed up with love, patience, and hope. I won't let the world forget her worth.

To those who did see her — thank you. Please help me hold her memory in reverence.

And to Ayse…

I will carry your name.

I will finish the work we dreamed of.

I will walk the rest of this life for the both of us.

And I promise — I will make it beautiful.

You are forever my sister, my other half, my miracle.

Until I see you again.
