Barbara Delores Barrant nee Alliman, was born on April 11, 1937, in Kingston, Jamaica. She was the daughter of Daisybell and Arthur Alliman. Barbara was married to Claude Barrant, who predeceased her in Jamaica, October 2016.

She is survived by her brothers, Ivor and Neville Alliman; sister, Florence Durant; sisters-in-Law Mavis Alliman, Fay Alliman and Gloria Barrant; children, Karen McCallum, Tania McFarlane and Neil Rambana; grandchildren, Kamilah Turnquest, Tiffany McCallum, Adam and Megan McFarlane, Paloma and Belén Rambana; great-grandson, Lucas Turnquest; son-in-law Michael McCallum; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ricci; several nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces; and grandson-in-law, Lynden "Sir Winston" Turnquest.
