Baso
Newball
Dec 20, 1943 — Mar 17, 2026
Basiliki (Baso) Yalakidis de Newball, 82, of Athens, Greece, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Plantation, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity that touched everyone she met.
Born on December 20, 1943, Basiliki's life was a testament to devotion, family, and the joy of sharing her heart with others. Her greatest pride and accomplishment were her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She poured herself into her family, offering unwavering love, guidance, and warmth, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
Basiliki is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Jose; her children and their spouses, Elena and Albert, Marisol and Mike, and James and Janeth; her "adopted" son, Stewart, and his family; her treasured grandchildren: Carolina, Cristian, Aubrey, Alanda, and Andrea; her great-grandson, Theodore; her brother, Demetrio Yalakidis, and his wife, Lucy; her nieces and nephews, Elena, Nicholas, Alexandra, Vanessa, Elizabeth, Barbara, and their families; cousins; and all those who were blessed to know and love her.
A viewing will be held at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM on March 22, 2026, at Monarch Funeral Home in Margate, Florida.
Basiliki's radiant spirit, her laughter that could light up a room, her generous heart, and her love for all will continue to inspire and comfort her family, friends, and everyone who had the joy of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, her memory and the warmth she shared will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
We love you forever and ever!!!
