Bette Jean Barrett Bergdorf, best friend, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2023 at North Broward Hospital after suffering a stroke. Preceded in death by her son, David Jr.; survived by her husband, David; three daughters, Maribeth, Cheryl and Kimberly; son, Michael and fiancé, Sandra (her children, Gabriel and Isabella); and sons-in-law, Dennis, Clifford, Larry and Ed. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Nicolle, Jessica, Shannon, Ryan, Cheyenne, Courtney, Marika, Anastasia, Anthony, Tylor and Mariah; great grandchildren, Orion, Zara, and Selena and baby to be; her siblings, Bill and Judy of Bridgeport, NY; sister-in-law, Jane and her husband, Jeff, of Baldwinsville, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bette was born in Syracuse, New York and grew up in Bridgeport, New York on Oneida Lake. She, along with her three sisters and two brothers grew up on a dairy farm, making fond memories, family love and bonds. Among the places she called home, were also Virginia Beach, VA. Plantation, Sebastian and Tamarac, FL.

Bette loves her grandchildren with all of her heart. Always devoted to her family, Bette enjoyed many birthdays, holidays and celebrations with her family. She held various positions at different business throughout her life while raising her family. She was a very devoted wife and loved David as they raised their family and enjoyed life together. Bette and David recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, enjoying the beautiful family which God gave them.

Thank you my love for the years, family, memories and love everlasting. It is truly a miracle from God. I will love you forever.
