Charles Anthony
Rondinone
Jan 5, 1951 — Oct 5, 2023
Charles Anthony Rondinone, 72, of Coconut Creek, FL passed away surrounded by family on October 5, 2023. Born January 5, 1951 in New York City, New York, to Charles and Eileen Rondinone.
Charles was raised in the Bronx, a fact he proudly boasted to all. It was there he met Linda, who would later become his beloved wife. Seeking better employment opportunities, Charles relocated to South Florida in 1974. This was quickly followed by a wedding in 1975 and then the first Rondinone child a few years later. While Charles worked hard to provide for his family, which grew again with the birth of a daughter, he always found time to be with his wife and children.
Charles was a larger than life persona. Always the life of the party, the center of attention, and doing things in his own way, Charles will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
His passion for Italy was immeasurable and he was excited to earn Italian citizenship. Italy was his "happy place" and somewhere he always yearned to visit one more time.
He also had a deep love for the New York Jets (J-E-T-S!!) a dedication that never wavered. He wasn't content to stay on land. He was a private pilot, soaring through the air with a sense of wonder and freedom. He also loved the ocean, whether deep sea fishing or just taking the boat out for a ride.
Charlie leaves his loving wife of 48 years, Linda; their children, Steve and Christina, and grandchildren, Kadin, Dominic, Sofia Rey, and Lucie to cherish his memory. He also is survived by his dear brother, Mike Rondinone, with whom he shared countless discussions on which football team was going to have a better season, his sister-in-law, Helen and nieces and nephews.
Rest in peace, Charlie. Your Spirit will forever soar with the Jets, the vast skies and the open seas.
