Clara
Gutierrez
Jun 10, 1934 — Mar 27, 2025
Clara Gutierrez, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Born on June 10, 1934, in Medellín, Colombia, Clara lived a vibrant and creative life that spanned continents and generations. Her journey took them from the colorful streets of Medellín, to the cold mountains of Bogota, to the bustling heart of Caracas, Venezuela, and eventually to the sunny shores of Florida. Along the way, Clara left an indelible mark on everyone who had the joy of knowing her.
In her early years, Clara shared the stage with her cousin Pilar Arriola at a local family-owned circus called El Circo Tangarife. These performances were a testament to Clara's lifelong love for music, dance, and celebration—a spirit carried with her throughout her life. Before settling into family life, Clara embraced performance and artistry with passion and flair.
Clara lived 36 wonderful years married to Jaime Gutierrez. Clara was a devoted mother to three children: Jaime Julian Gutierrez, Adriana Guardia and Alvaro Gutierrez. She was also a proud grandparent to six grandchildren: Carina Gutierrez, Gabriela Gutierrez, Brie Gutierrez, Diego Gutierrez, Nikolas Guardia, and Natasha Guardia. In retirement, Clara dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her grandchildren—offering love, guidance, and endless creativity.
A gifted artist at heart, Clara found joy in working with plants and flowers. She had a special talent for creating stunning floral arrangements. While living in Caracas, Clara spent countless hours at her small pottery shop shaping clay into delicate works of art on her pottery wheel. Later in life in Florida, she became a floral designer and worked alongside wonderful people who appreciated both her skill and warm presence.
Clara's zest for life was unmistakable. Whether enjoying vodka on the rocks or dancing to her favorite tunes during family gatherings or watching "Dancing with the Stars," she embraced every opportunity to celebrate. Her laughter was infectious; her energy lit up every room.
Clara's legacy lives on through the lives of those they loved most—her children and grandchildren—and through the many memories shared by friends and family across the globe. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire joy and creativity for generations to come.
