Concetta Appello, 101, of Coconut Creek, FL passed away on March 22, 2025 surrounded by family. Born in New York, New York on May 13, 1923 to Ludovica and Angelina Ribaudo.

Concetta's grandfather lived to the age of 103 and she always wanted to reach the same.  She was 52 days shy of her 102nd birthday when she was called home to be with her husband and son. In an effort to support her wishes, her daughter and son-in-law always promised she would make it past 103.

Concetta had a strong heart, loving soul, and was one of the sweetest and most kind women you would ever meet. She had a tremendous bond with a grammar school friend, Antoinette (Nettie), whom she would shop and share great times with.  Nettie was her Maid of Honor; although many miles separated them, they communicated by telephone and remained the best of friends until her passing.

In her later years, Concetta loved doing word find puzzles, gambling at the casino, ceramics and most of all loved simple card games. She was always surrounded with love and care from her daughter and son-in-law who took the role of team caretakers until the end of her time on this earth.

Concetta follows to heaven her beloved husband, Joseph; and her son, Paul.

She is survived by her son, Joe (Lorraine); and daughter, Rose (Bruce).

Goodnight my sweet princess, Concetta.  May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest, Amen.
