David Michael
Bremer
Apr 9, 1968 — Oct 3, 2022
David Michael Bremer
David, 54, Pompano Beach, passed away unexpectedly October 3, 2022 at Shenandoah National Park while hiking on the Appalachian Trail.
Born April 9, 1968 in Davenport, Iowa. Western Illinois University awarded him a B.S. degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration with a minor in Marketing.
He was married to the love of his life and soul mate, Kimberlee Geng for almost twenty years. Together they enjoyed yoga, hiking, biking, scuba diving, traveling. He was a volunteer first responder for the Marine Animal Rescue Society.
His career began as a hot air balloon pilot for Walt Disney World. During that time, he managed a task force to open resorts, water parks, the Disney Institute Spa, and the opening of Euro Disney Paris. Over 30 years he continuously grew in the upper management of the resort industry with diverse experience that included: Columbia Hospitality, Wyndham, Eleven Spa, Williams Island Club, The Point of Ventura, The Ritz Carlton, Thalgo America, Aveda Institute, EauSpa, and Boca Terry.
Hospitality was his career but only part of a soul that was humane, humble, honorable, hopeful, with a great sense of humor. He realized that every person and living creature deserves respect. And that earth is indeed a tiny fragile blue miracle. That all our history, all that has lived, all consciousness over the 4.54 billion years, allowed him to exist for one brief moment of time.
He is survived by his parents, Vernon F. Bremer and Nancy H. Bremer of Huntley, Illinois: Kimberlee Geng, his wife; and Scott A. Bremer, his brother of Prior Lake, Minnesota.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 4 to 7 PM at Monarch Funeral Home, 2950 US Highway 441 N., Margate, Florida 33063.
The family requests donations are made to Oceana to help with the overall impact on the ocean or the Marine Mammal Center that helps marine mammals.
