Elida M. DuMornay, 71, of North Miami Beach, FL passed away on May 5, 2021. Born in Belladere, Haiti on October 28, 1949 to Arnold and Altagrace Alcidonis, she also lived in French Guyana, Canada, and New York before settling in North Miami Beach, Florida more than 20 years ago.

Elida often drew people to her without fail, and making new friends was never a challenge. She was a very passionate woman, outspoken and fierce when it came to all the things she loved.  As a young woman she loved dancing and music. Gardening and antique collecting were other passions. Her working years were spent caring for geriatric patients.

Elida influenced all our lives with her light, laughter, cheerfulness, stories, and love. She will forever be a part of our hearts, mind and soul. Elida is survived by her three (3) children, Dr. Wilson DuMornay, Shaveeska DuMornay Spouse, Antonio DuMornay, Barbara DuMornay Fenelon, John Fenelon Spouse; grandchildren; her brother, Antoine Alcidonis; Vanisa Harris and many family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a service at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Elida will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
