Elizabeth Newton passed away on January 8, 2024.  She was 76 years old.

Elizabeth was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness with her husband, Louis Newton, on November 8, 1971.

Liz, as she was affectionately called by friends and loved ones, was born Elizabeth Lemon on November 17, 1947 in Summerville, South Carolina to her mother, Virginia Lemon. Her father is Theodore Robinson. She was raised by her Grandmother, Florence Aiken, in Summerville, SC. In her younger years she studied nursing, enjoyed reading books and also reading/writing poetry. As an only child, she always said she wanted a big family which was realized cohesively with her husband, Louis, during their loving marriage of 55 years. She was an exemplary domestic engineer and mother of 8 children...one of which was born with a mental disability that requires constant attention and care.

Liz is remembered for her vibrant personality, passionate zeal for life and her loving demeanor. Her presence is noticeably absent yet we look forward to seeing her again with the hope of the resurrection.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Newton Sr; her sons and daughters, Lewis Newton Jr, Sandra Newton, Amery Newton, Levi Newton, Zapora Newton, Rosetta Newton, Monica Newton, and Simon Newton; grand-sons, Elijah & Coby Newton (sons of Amery Newton & Yalonda Jackson-Newton), and Devin & Darius Lee (sons of Monica Newton-Lee & Devuan Lee).
