George
Paparelli
Oct 14, 1947 — Jul 16, 2023
George Paparelli of Tamarac, Florida passed away on July 16, 2023. George was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 14, 1947. After graduating from high school, he proudly served in the US Army from 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. Upon leaving the military, he worked as a salesman in the printing industry. In his spare time, George enjoyed bowling, tennis, good food, and visiting breweries. He liked to smoke a fine cigar with friends. Another relaxing pastime was shelling on Florida's beautiful beaches.
He was a very spiritual man. Growing up, George loved serving as an Alter Boy in the Catholic Church. In later years, he belonged to First Church of Coral Springs for 33 years. George and his wife, Patricia, created the church bowling league to fundraise for missions and charities. George and Patricia were involved in the Christmas program, Bethlehem Revisited, for more than 20 years and loved it dearly. He was also faithful to the weekly community food share program. George had a servants heart and was very generous.
George was a devoted family man. He loved family dinners, vacationing with, and spending time with his family. George enjoyed preparing his grandmother's recipe for meatballs, especially for his family who loved them so much.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is preceded in passing by his parents. George is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Paparelli; sons, Keith (Victoria) Mangum, Eric (Ewa) Mangum, and George Paparelli Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew John Mangum and Isabella Kalliope Mangum.
