Gerd Gunther Ruess, 69, of Margate, FL passed away on May 30, 2023. Born in Weissenhorn, Germany on June 18, 1953 to Wilhelm and Martha Ruess. Gerd moved to the United States in his twenties.

Gerd was a loving father and husband. Automotive was his passion and profession. He enjoyed playing chess. Gerd liked soccer especially in his youth; he loved watching the world cup. He shared his love of chess with his step grandchild, Marcus.

Survived by his wife, Gladys, and his son, Wilhelm Ruess. He will be dearly missed.

Services will be intimate and held in private for his family.
