Gilda Daisy Lucille Shand, 95, of Margate, FL joined her beloved husband, Errol Shand, in heaven on January 19, 2025. Born in Trinidad to Kenneth and Nellie Best, she was one of five children.

Gilda was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Margot Best, Gloria Lezama, Lynne Wilson, and Honor Paul.

Gilda's light and love will be forever mourned by her 11 surviving children, 28 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Children: Susan Hart (Victor Lookin), Larry Shand (Gwyneth)- both deceased, Nancy Seuradge (Roger), Phillip Shand- deceased (Joanne), Patrice Shand, Derek Shand (Jemmer), Beverley Young (Miguel), Jeffrey Shand (Allison), Ronald Shand (Ansar), Heather Hasmatali (Nigel), Gillian Hill (Andrew), Heidi Rodriguez (Mel), and Steve Shand (Monica).

Grandchildren: Warren Hart, Dirk Hart, Craig Shand, Michael Shand, Mark Shand, Stacey Bailey, Richard Seuradge, Kristen Joseph, Keisha Shand, Shane Shand, Duane Shand, Nadine Farrell, Amanda Centorrino, Simone Vallon, Sean Phillip, Whitney Shand, Janine Shand, Camille Fabis, David Hasmatali, Keira Hasmatali, Kirsten Webster, Marissa Hill, Ceri Hill, Melanie Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez, Meghan Rodriguez, Victoria Shand and Nicolas Shand.
