Obituary

Harry Stephen Brinker III, 63, was born in Chicago, IL to Harry Brinker II and Myra Wolverton.

As a child he was active, inquisitive and constantly in motion and particularly loved swimming and ice skating. He was also a prankster: he once tried to convince his sister that she could fly with an umbrella like Mary Poppins. As he got older, he developed a love for boating and being near the ocean and lakes.

He had a brilliant career in Sales & Training and ranked at the top his field, being recognized for his talent and achievements by winning the President's Club Awards. He was a remarkable communicator; training and holding seminars all over the country.

Harry also dedicated part of his life to volunteer work at Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) (1992-1994), Fort Smith Symphony Orchestra (FSSO) (1998-2000), Hostelling International USA in Chicago (2012-2013), and Salvation Army ARC (2013- 2017).

He met his sweet Brazilian girlfriend, Maria, in 2016 during a visit to Florida and they decided to get married in 2018; they have been living in Coconut Creek, South Florida ever since then.

Harry was a dedicated, protective and loving husband and, with his Maria, enjoyed memorable moments having fun, cooking, attending concerts, visiting museums and international art expositions or just staying home laughing, watching romantic movies and planning trips.

Harry had an easy smile, loved to watch news, was a big fan of the Chicago Bears and was crazy for Lady Gaga. He also loved dogs, never forgot his beloved greyhound Lilly, and enjoyed watching dog videos on Facebook.

He was sweet, good-natured, always elegant and polite -- a true gentleman.

He will be greatly missed by his spouse, Maria; his mother, Myra; his sister, Cheryl; his brother-in-law, Mike; his stepmother, Mary Ellen; his nephew, Troy; as well as by the entire family and many friends.
