Obituary

Ines Diaz, age 83, of Coconut Creek, Florida passed away on May 17th, 2025 peacefully in her sleep. Ines was born on April 3rd, 1942 in Ambalema, Colombia, the daughter of Justino and Mireya.

Ines grew up in Colombia, first in Tolima with her family, and she later moved to Bogota as an adult with an occupation in secretarial work. Eventually she made the decision to move to the United States and settled in New England where she met her eventual husband, Angelo, and became a United States citizen. She remained in New England, mostly in Massachusetts for over twenty years before settling in Florida.

Ines married Angelo in 1973 in Brooklyn, NY. They remained together up until Angelo's death and share one son, Michael. Together they raised Michael in Massachusetts and they later retired to Florida. She stayed at home to raise Micheal while living in Massachusetts. While living in Florida, she worked in retail until her retirement.

Ines was devoted to her family, both at home in the United States and back in her homeland of Colombia. She kept in close contact with her siblings in both countries and with her mother until she passed away. She enjoyed walks and shopping. As a grandmother, she loved seeing her grandchildren and cherished their visits. Visiting Walt Disney World with her grandchildren were fond memories. She also loved music. She would always play music at home and she loved to sing and dance.

Remaining to cherish Ines's memory are her son Michael, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Magdalena and Gabriela, and her many brothers and sisters.
