Obituary

Jawayne Hugentugler Keijser, 73, of Pompano Beach, passed away on May 19, 2022. She was born in Chicago on January 1, 1949. Jawayne was predeceased by her husband, Boudewijn Keijser; her parents, Betty and Jack Hugentugler; her sister, Corinne Measelle; and her nephew, Chad Measelle. She is survived by her sister, Gretchen Hugentugler; her brother, Jack Wayne Hugentugler (Susan), her nephews, Kevin Hugentugler, Daniel Hugentugler, and David Hugentugler; and her grandnephew, Benjamin. Jawayne is also survived by her brother-in-law, Skip Measelle; and her nephew Chad's family in England including his wife, Natasha, their children, Kyle Measelle, Reece Johnson, Emma Lewis, and Alicia Measelle, and his grandchildren Cameron, Lacey, and Corinne.

Jawayne graduated from Pompano Beach High School and attended St. Albans Girls School near London, England. While working for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Jawayne moved to Holland where she met and married the love of her life, Boudewijn Keijser. After living in Den Haag, Holland for eleven (11) years, Jawayne and Boudewijn returned to Pompano Beach. Jawayne worked for Martinair Holland Airlines for many years until they ceased operations in the United States. Jawayne loved wine, anything Dutch (even Dutch soccer teams), traveling, entertaining, cooking, tennis, swimming, her family, friends, and animals, especially dogs. Jawayne's family is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and concern by her large circle of dear friends who visited and sent her many comforting cards during her illness. Should anyone desire, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to ASPCA or Broward Humane Society or a charity of your choosing.
