It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jean Ann Cummings, age 82, of Tamarac Florida, on Monday November 10, 2025. She was Born in the Parish of St. Andrew, in the City of Kingston, on the island of Jamaica, on the 5th day of January 1943.

She was the second child of Viola Pabarue & Leyster Pabarue, a respected Pharmacist in Kingston, Jamaica. Jean met the love of her life, Howard Cummings in New York, and they were married on January 30th, 1964, where they welcomed two children, Phillip and Christopher. She is survived both sons; her older brother, Marvin Pabarue, and younger brother Cedric (Tony) Pabarue; grandchildren Navy and Pace; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

Throughout her life, she was known for compassion, humor, generosity, and resilience. She was a very hard worker and she touched the lives of many throughout her careers. She worked in many roles for a variety of companies including Hardware & Lumber, Lithographic Printers, Air Jamaica, and retired as an employee of Food For The Poor.

To her family, she was the constant — the steady voice of encouragement, the warm embrace on difficult days, and the joyful laugh that could fill an entire room. She enjoyed having guests in her home, where everyone felt welcome, seen, and cared for. She loved telling stories, gardening, offering advice, and cooking.
