Jeanie Marie Smith, 74, of Margate, FL passed away on June 1, 2024. Born in Chattanooga, TN on February 13, 1950 to Woodrow and Flora Kennedy.

Jeanie's love of the Smoky Mountains and country music ran deep. She had a big heart, especially for her family. Jeanie was blessed to help raise her grandchildren and great granddaughter, all of whom have very special memories of her. She married a military man, Vernon Smith, and they had two children, Vernon "Boomer" Jr., and Margie. Sadly, Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, both of her children, and siblings, Pat McGee, Grace Cudziol, Jim Kennedy, and Woodrow Kennedy.

Survived by her granddaughters, Danielle, Kristina, and Skyler; great granddaughter, Alina; and brother, Terry Kennedy.

Jeanie will be laid to rest with her husband at South Florida National Cemetery.
