Jimmy
Billisi
Oct 28, 1937 — Mar 21, 2026
Giacomo "Jimmy" Billisi, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Margate, FL. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
Jimmy was a true family man who brought warmth and joy wherever he went. He had a way of making every gathering feel special, whether through his laughter, his stories, or simply his presence. Jimmy cherished time spent with his loved ones and loved the simple pleasures of life—especially fishing, baseball, baking, and cooking.
Jimmy proudly served in the Italian Navy before coming to the United States in 1959 for a better life. A self-taught and hardworking man, he built his life from the ground up. In pursuit of the American dream, he married, started a family, and opened his first business in Brooklyn, marking the beginning of a legacy defined by dedication, perseverance, and determination. Jimmy was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to figure things out on his own—always doing things his way.
Those who knew Jimmy will always remember his strength, his resilience, and the deep love he had for his family. He was a man who provided, protected, and gave endlessly, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ann; his three daughters, Rose O'Shaughnessy (Thomas), Gina Careccia (Anthony), and Vincenza Billisi; and his two sons, Vincent Billisi (Michele) and Anthony Billisi (Melissa). He was loved by his 12 grandchildren: Gianna, Ryan, John, Jack, Madison (Michael), Gregory, Giacomo, Liam, Jacqueline, Milana, Giovanni, and Alessandro; and his five great-grandchildren: Athena, Lucas, Luna, Graziella, and Sawyer. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Rosetta, Rita, Josephine, and Frank (Linda).
He is reunited in eternal rest with cherished family and friends who preceded him.
Jimmy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
