Joan "Nan" Martinez, 77, of Tamarac, FL passed away on March 18, 2021. She was born on April 15, 1943 in White Plains, NY to Frank and Catherine Somma.

Nan was a witty, strong independent woman who adored her children and grandchildren. Always hard working during the first part of her career she was the office manager for Family Service Agency, a non-profit who strived and specialized in getting troubled kids the therapeutic help they deserved. Because of her dedication to her family she worked a second job at Wal-Mart. She remained an employee at Wal-Mart for 25 years, retiring as a valued member of the bakery department.

If you knew Nan you loved her! She was a compassionate woman who would help anyone in any way she could. Some of Nan's favorite things were cooking for her loved ones and a good online sale.

Survived by her daughters, Nicole Martinez, her partner Daniel Colucci and Danielle Martinez, her fiancé Bryan Berry; and grandchildren, Tylor, Mariah, Kaitlyn and Bella.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM with a Memorial Service at 5:00PM.
