Obituary

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, the family is requesting donations to assist with funeral and other expenses.

Joaquin Rodriguez, or as others know him, Jay, was born on February 14, 2002 and unexpectedly passed away on October 31, 2022. Joaquin was not only a beloved son but a brother, best friend and co-worker. Joaquin, though only 20, accomplished many things. Joaquin never failed to make someone laugh or smile, he was always one to lend a helping hand or be there when no one else would. Joaquin was the definition of love as he would give love to anyone and everyone, he always saw the good in each person he came across along with always radiating good energy. Joaquin touched the lives of many, always left an impression, a mark on each person he came across. Joaquin was always extremely genuine, whether it was someone he just met or has been with for a long time, he never changed who he was. Joaquin was always one to enjoy the finer things in life and always knew how to find the good in every situation even the toughest one.

Football was Joaquin's greatest accomplishment and one of his many passions. Cars was one thing Joaquin was always very passionate about, he would spend the majority of his free time watching car videos and he loved Dodge as he always talked about how he was going to own either a charger or challenger. Music was another great passion of Joaquin's as he used music to connect with many people, he always had a very diverse music taste and always kept an open mind when listening to music. Joaquin prouded himself around his family, Ana (mom), Melisa (sister) and Mariana (sister). Joaquin's personality was one of a kind, he was goofy, always living life to the fullest, full of love, life, honesty, and genuinity. Joaquin Rodriguez may be gone but his spirit and the love he spread will forever remain in us.

He survived by his mother, Ana Calderon (Jorge Betancourt), sisters, Melisa and Mariana Nunez; father, Luis Rodriguez; maternal grandparents, Tuti (Lina) and Gloria; paternal grandmother, Gloria; aunts and uncles, Juan Paolo, Tomas, Carlos, Gloria, Andrea and Juliana; and cousins, Luna, Sergio, Nico, Dani, Mayra and Emilio.
