Jorge Rey, a beloved husband and father, passed away leaving a legacy of love, wisdom, and light. Born in Colombia, Jorge met his wife, Alicia, at 25 and their whirlwind romance led to a beautiful marriage and two children, Emilie and Justin — his greatest pride.

Jorge began his career as a teacher and philanthropist, and was also a gifted artist with works exhibited globally. He later built a successful 19-year career in cybersecurity at Kaufman Rossin and spent over a decade as a professor at FIU.

A lifelong learner and spiritual seeker, Jorge was known for his calm, positivity, and bright smile, he uplifted everyone around him. He found joy in camping, biking, poker, photography, traveling the world with his family — most recently, a joyful trip to Colombia.

Jorge's life was defined by love, laughter, and purpose. He made the world better simply by being in it.
