Joseph Charles
Aiello
Sep 15, 1945 — Aug 25, 2021
We remember the life of a great man we all called Lucky. His name was Joseph Charles Aiello; born on September 15, 1945, and passing away on August 25, 2021.
He grew up in Stamford, CT and was the only child to Joseph and Viola Aiello. Lucky is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marie; daughters, Tanya Aiello (Peter Sclafani) and Tracy Aiello; his mother, Viola; and grandchildren, Dylan, Izabella, Lucia, and Mia.
Joseph enlisted into the United States Marine Corp at eighteen. He was made a Lieutenant and then Sergeant while serving in the Vietnam War. He received multiple purple hearts, and after his service, remained a proud veteran. Joe received the name Lucky because he was fortunate enough to return from the war.
Joseph was a loving father and spent his life caring for his family. He enjoyed going on trips with his children and adored his grandchildren. He attended every practice, every game, and every tournament that his grandson participated in. He was dedicated to supporting his talent and he was his biggest fan and best friend. He was like a father to him. His granddaughters were the light of his life and he loved every minute he had with them. Joseph always made himself available for his family and was good to everyone he met.
Lucky had a smile on his face for everyone and always had a positive and loving demeanor. He was available to offer a helping hand to anyone. In his free time, Joe found great joy in SCUBA diving and shared that love with his daughter. Together they had many memorable adventures. He was the kind of person that was full of joy with eyes filled with hope. He is survived by his mother, who instilled his hope and constant positive attitude as a young boy. Joe loved caring for his wife, Marie and being her sous chef.
Joseph will be missed. He had a great impact on everyone he met. He left people with a hug and a smile and he will always be remembered as our very happy-go-lucky- Lucky . Semper Fi.
