Juan Pablo
"Pablito" Corpus
May 6, 1969 — Sep 12, 2026
In Loving Memory of Juan Pablo "Pablito" Corpus
There are some people who come into our lives and leave an impression. There are others who become such an important part of our lives that they become woven into who we are. Their voice, their laughter, their advice, their habits, their stories, and even the little things they did become part of the fabric of our everyday lives. And then there are people whose presence becomes so much a part of our world that we cannot imagine that world without them. Juan Pablo "Pablito" Corpus was that person to us. Pablo was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, and the heart of his family. But even those words do not begin to describe what he meant to the people who loved him.
He was our protector, provider, comedian, problem-solver, grill master, handyman, advice-giver and the person we always called for any and everything. He always seemed to know what to say.
Juan was born on May 6, 1969, in Río Bravo, Mexico, to his parents Evangelina and Elías Corpus, Sr. He grew up surrounded by eight siblings, in a family where there was no shortage of love, personality, laughter, hard work, and togetherness. Those early years helped shape the man he became. Family wasn't simply important to Pablo it was his everything.
He carried the lessons, traditions, values, and love he learned growing up throughout his entire life. Pablo understood that life was meant to be shared with the people he loved. Birthdays, holidays, cookouts, sporting events, weekends, vacations, and even ordinary days became opportunities for him to spend with his family.
Pablo had a way of making ordinary moments feel like memories. He was a man who believed life was meant to be lived, enjoyed, and celebrated.
When Pablo was around, there was a good chance there was going to be food. He truly was the "grill master." The grill wasn't just something he cooked on—it was practically his domain. Pablo took pride in feeding his family and friends. He could stand over that grill for hours, checking the food, making adjustments, giving his opinions, and making sure everyone was fed with all the special touches. And somehow, the food always tasted better when Pablo made it. But what made those moments so meaningful wasn't just the food it was Pablo just being himself.
The grill times were about conversations, laughter, stories, music, sports, family, and the simple comfort of knowing that he was there. Pablo loved bringing people together, and there was something about having him at the center of a gathering that made it feel complete. Truly the life of the party.
Pablo loved the outdoors and the beach. His safe haven was at home in the backyard tending to the grill and the pool. His other interests included watching football, boxing, and his passion was the guitar and had a deep love for rock 'n' roll, hard rock, and heavy metal. Pablo played the guitar for hours on end and would never tire. Metallica, Megadeath, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Rush and so many other bands became part of the soundtrack of his life.
Music was another way Pablo expressed himself. It was part of his personality, part of his memories, and part of what made him uniquely Pablo.
But there was another side of Pablo that everyone who knew him understood very well. He could do just about anything and truly a jack of all trades. If something needed to be fixed or built, he figured it out. If something wasn't working, he wasn't going to simply accept it. Pablo would take a look, think about it, try something, take it apart if necessary, put it back together, and somehow make it work. He had that natural ability to look at a set of plans and piece the entire job together from beginning to end.
Pablo had an incredible combination of determination, practical knowledge, common sense, and resourcefulness. But perhaps what made him so remarkable was that his intelligence was never defined by a piece of paper hanging on a wall. He did not possess a college degree, but anyone who truly knew him understood that a diploma was never an accurate measure of the knowledge he carried.
Pablo's street smarts, common sense, intuition, and wisdom beyond his years came from life experience, attention ro detail, hard work, and dealing with adversity. He had a deep understanding of human nature, how to read a room and a remarkable ability to look at a complicated situation and simplify it.
Pablo knew that not every problem needed a complicated solution and often common sense was the answer and sometimes, you just needed someone like Pablo to say, "I got this."
But his greatest gift wasn't simply his ability to fix things, it was being a man of integrity and his word meant something. It was like the golden rule, he never disappointed and one could always trust his honor. Pablo cared for others deeply and when he gave you advice, he didn't say what was convenient—he said what he believed was the right decision which came from the heart. He could listen to understand and provide a perspective that provided clarity to the situation. Sometimes you didn't want to hear what Pablo had to say but you knew you needed to hear it and his advice had a way of staying with you. His voice was steady and his tone was soft and never harsh or abrasive.
Jennifer — His Love, His Partner, His soul mate. At the center of Pablo's life was his wife, Jennifer. Pablo and Jennifer graduated together from Boyd Anderson High School in 1989. Pablo met his high school sweetheart, Jennifer during Junior year. This was the beginning of their love story.
Jennifer didn't necessarily believe in love at first sight but Pablo did. He always believed in true love and when you meet the right person you just know and certain people enter your life for a reason.
And from the beginning, Pablo believed Jennifer was that special individual. Jennifer may have thought his ideas about love were a little crazy at first. But Pablo never stopped believing. Eventually, she realized that maybe he had been right all along. What began as a high school romance grew into something much bigger than either of them could have imagined. They became husband and wife, partners and first time parents. They built a home, a business, a family and a life together.
Their story wasn't simply about falling in love. It was about growing and thriving together over the years. They experienced life's highs and lows, struggles, obstacles and challenges. They also celebrated holidays, special occasions and milestones. There was always love, laughter and tears some of sadness others of joy.
Pablo and Jennifer raised their children together and faced the responsibilities of ensuring safety and security for the family. And through it all, Jennifer remained the person beside Pablo. Jennifer was his rock, and he couldn't wait to come home into her arms. She and Pablo shared their dreams and deep darkest secrets. Jennifer's opinion was the one that mattered to him and the person who knew him better than anyone.
Pablo didn't just love Jennifer, he cherished and worshipped him. She was his wife, but she was also his partner and his home. Pablo protected Jennifer at all costs. Their relationship became the foundation upon which their family was built. And when you look at Pablo's life, it is impossible to tell his story without telling Jennifer's story too. Because so much of who Pablo became was connected to the life they created together.
Priscilla and Samantha — His Greatest Accomplishments.
Then came the greatest chapters of Pablo's life: his daughters.
On October 9th 1996, Pablo and Jennifer welcomed their first daughter, Priscilla D. Becoming a father changed Pablo in ways that only a dad can understand. He had always dreamed about having a boy. He joked about it, talked about it, and probably never imagined that the moment his daughter arrived, that dream would suddenly become insignificant. Because Priscilla had his heart. She was his little girl, his pride and joy, the reason he tirelessly worked and worried more but at the same time laughed and took joy in all the special moments. Pablo's reason to want the very best life was now possible.
And then came Samantha J. April 16th, 1999. And once again, Pablo was blessed with a daughter. Maybe he still joked about wanting his boy, but life had other plans. And those plans gave Pablo something he didn't know he needed: two daughters who would become his entire world.
Priscilla and Samantha were not simply his children they were part of his identity, his heart, and his whole entire world. Pablo was a girl dad long before people had a name for it. He protected his daughters fiercely, worried about them constantly, and wanted to ensure their happiness and safety. It was essential that he instilled good values and morales to ensure they made sound decisions. And, of course, Pablo always had golden advice to give which sometimes was not requested however their father was going to give it anyway because that was his job in his mind. Being their father meant looking out for them for the rest of his life.
Pablo wanted Priscilla and Samantha to know their worth, to have strength, stand up for themselves, and make good choices.
He wanted them to recognize when someone genuinely loved and respected them or when they were being disrespected or mistreated.
Underneath every lecture, every question, every warning, and every piece of advice was the same message from Papi "I love you and I want you to be okay." That was Pablo's way of loving, not always a sentimental, and often a man of few words. His message was powerful.
He showed his love through action and was the epitome of a warrior. Priscilla and Samantha considered their papi a superhero that sprung into action to always save the day.
A Man Who Gave Everything He Had.
Pablo's generosity extended far beyond his immediate family. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back—even to a complete stranger. If someone needed help, Pablo helped. The equation was never about him, he never needed recognition for his acts of kindness. Helping people was simply part of Pablo's nature. His generosity, good nature, strength, kindness, warmth and patience of an angel were true reflections of his character.
Pablo clearly understood his path that others many people spend a lifetime seeking for the answers:
His giving nature is his greatest attribute and his legacy.
Juan Pablo Corpus is a man that stands on his own accord and has 6 football fields held in his honor holding his top heros including Mohamned Ali, Cannelo Alvarez, the Triplets from the Cowboys and his ultimate favorite Tom Brady who won 7 Superbowls.
When we think about Pablo now it's not about what we can't change it's about our memories of his laugh, strong voice, stories, funny jokes, his impeccable taste in music, his commentary during the games and everything he did on a regular basis.
We will dearly miss the little things like phone calls, the conversations, familiar expressions, the teasing, family gatherings, the meals, the games, the music playing in the background, the weekends, the beach, and barbecues.
The moments when Jennifer was beside Pablo and Priscilla and Samantha were nearby may have seemed ordinary at the time.
But now we understand that they weren't ordinary at all they were actually extraordinary. His greatest accomplishment was the family he created and the people he touched.
Pablo was a husband who cherished his wife, a father who adored his daughters, a son who carried his family's love with him a brother who never forgot where he came from, a friend people could count on, the bread winner of the family and the best version of himself that reflects on the man Pablo was.
When you look at Jennifer, Priscilla, and Samantha, you can see pieces of Pablo his strength, sense of humor, stubbornness, wisdom, generosity,
determination, love, and his kind spirit.
Pablo spent his life taking care of the people he loved. Now, his family will carry forward everything he taught them. Jennifer will carry the love of the man who chose her so many years ago and spent a lifetime building a life beside her. Priscilla will carry the lessons of the father who wanted nothing more than to protect her and see her happy. Samantha will carry the wisdom, love, and protection of the father who always wanted to make sure she was okay. And together, they will carry the memories of the husband and father who gave so much of himself to make their lives better.
Juan may no longer be physically here to answer the phone, stand behind the grill, fix what is broken, give his opinion, or offer that piece of advice we didn't know we needed. But his voice will continue to live in the lessons he taught, his hands will live in the things he fixed, his generosity will live in the people he helped, his laughter will live in the memories that make us smile.
And in all of us who had the privilege of knowing Pablo you gave so much of yourself to everyone around you now we will carry you with you forever
Rest peacefully, Pablito. You were deeply loved, we be deeply missed and never, ever be forgotten.
