Larry Edwards passed away at his home after a courageous battle fighting cancer.

Larry was born in Wilmington Delaware and grew up in Chinchilla Pennsylvania where he graduated from Abington Heights High School in 1975.  He worked as a printer at Scranton Litho Company before moving to South Florida where he recently retired from Stratford Court at Boca Pointe Sunrise Senior Living after 17 years as a painter and overall handyman.  All his co-workers respected and admired Larry for his dedication to the job and the residents.  If it needed to be done, Larry did it and with a smile.

He enjoyed tennis, (he had a wicked slice and spin), swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing.

He is survived by his brother, Roger Edwards form Deland Florida, along with a sister in law and nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his childhood best friend, Tommy Stevenson from Factoryville Pennsylvania, his girlfriend, Debbie Ducas from Margate, and countless friends who loved him dearly. Larry was predeceased by his long time life partner, Elizabeth Schwamb.

He was a wonderful man with a huge heart and will be greatly missed by everyone.

In lieu of a service, donations in Larry's name can be made to either Special Olympics of Florida or the America Cancer Society.  We would also like to thank Trust Bridge and Aqua Home Care for the excellent care they provided.

Share your memories of Larry or express condolences to his family through our online guestbook.
