Laura Andrea Garay Barnett, 31, born in Colombia and a resident of Margate, FL passed away on October 9, 2021.

The family is deeply saddened and grief stricken by Laura's passing. In her honor, they will be accepting donations to the Lupus Foundation in hopes that it will benefit other people with this terrible disease.

Laura was a beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone in her life. She loved her friends and family dearly especially her son, Ethan, and husband, Kip, who were her world. Kip and Laura's love journey began 13 years ago and they were married 9 blissful years. Laura also had a deep love for the family pets, who miss her very much.

Her love for art was on display every day in every way possible, starting with the food she prepared for her son and husband. Some of her accomplishments include being featured at art shows, and receiving her degree in coding while creating a social health app called Door54. She also earned her nutritional specialist license and most recently became a tattoo artist.

Laura is survived by her mother, Rocio; brother, Julio; her son, Ethan; and husband, Kip; as well as her beloved pets Pixi, Stormi, Lilly, and Luna.
