Lillian Noemi Ruiz, lovingly known as "Lily," was born on November 7, 1961, to Ada Brito and Gustavo Hernandez. On July 31, 2026, Lily departed this life, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, family, and memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Lily was a beautiful, loving, and nurturing woman with a heart that seemed to have room for everyone. She had a way of making people feel cared for, welcomed, and loved. She touched the hearts of everyone she encountered and treated others with genuine kindness and compassion.

Family meant everything to Lily. She grew up alongside her beloved siblings, Elizabeth Blackwell, Wilfredo Magriz, Gus Hernandez, Soraya Alcantara, and Gustavo Hernandez, sharing a lifetime of memories and an unbreakable family bond.

One of Lily's greatest joys was being a mother. She was the loving mother of Erica Castro, Joshua Ruiz, Brandon Ruiz, and Brian Ruiz. The loss of her daughter, Erica, left Lily with a broken heart that she carried with her for the rest of her life. While her family grieves her deeply, there is comfort in believing that Lily is now rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with her beloved Erica and holding her once again.

Lily was also a loving grandmother to Saphire Valdes and Josiah Ruiz, whom she loved dearly. She was an incredible aunt to all of her nieces and nephews, loving and nurturing them as if they were her very own children. To Lily, family was not simply a word—it was the center of her heart.

And if you knew Lily, you knew she loved to dance. Her beautiful smile, her joy, and her unforgettable dance moves could light up a room. Those are the memories her family will hold onto: Lily smiling, Lily dancing, Lily loving, and Lily simply being the beautiful soul that she was.

Her presence was a gift, and her love will continue through every life she touched.

Though our hearts are heavy, we will remember Lily not only with tears, but with smiles, laughter, music, dancing, and all of the beautiful memories she gave us.

Lily, you were such a beautiful light in this world. Your smile, your love, and your spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Dance freely in Heaven, reunited with Erica, until we meet again.
