Linda Carol
Imhoff
Jun 24, 1950 — Jun 19, 2026
Linda Carol Imhoff (Caldwell), of Margate, Florida, passed away suddenly on June 19, 2026, just days before her 76th birthday. She was born on June 24, 1950 to Charles and Marilyn Caldwell.
Linda was raised in Clawson, Michigan, where she graduated from Clawson High School in 1968. As the oldest of nine children, she naturally embraced the role of caregiver from an early age—a quality that would define her throughout her life.
Linda dedicated her career to nursing, where her compassion, strong work ethic, and heart of gold touched the lives of countless patients and their families. She cared deeply for others, always putting their needs before her own, and earned the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
For the past 30 years, Linda called South Florida home, living in Coral Springs before settling in Margate. There, she built an incredible circle of friends who became like family. Whether in Michigan or Florida, Linda had a remarkable gift for making meaningful, lifelong friendships, and she cherished those relationships dearly.
Above all else, Linda's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to Tracy (Mark) DeVries, Glenn (Barbara) Imhoff, and Kate (Chris) Newman. Nothing brought her more happiness than being "Grandma" to her eight beloved grandchildren: Olivia, Lauren, Drew, Isabelle, Lilah, Josiah, Ellie, and Spencer. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Linda is survived by her children; her grandchildren; her siblings Wendy (the late Thomas) Somerville, Jenny Hagelstein, Craig (Suzanne) Caldwell, Larry (Misty) Caldwell, Robert (Carol) Caldwell, and Becky Fetterhoff, along with all of their loving children and grandchildren. She also spent a great deal of her time growing up with cousins in Ohio who she made some amazing memories with up until the months before she passed. The sea of Linda's wonderful friends and family brings comfort knowing her legacy lives on through the unwavering love of all those left behind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marilyn Caldwell; her brother, Chuck (Mary) Caldwell; and her sister, Sandra Hunt.
Linda will be remembered for her selfless spirit, her endless compassion, her tireless work ethic, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to her family, friends, and patients. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and in the love she leaves behind.
Though she will be deeply missed, Linda's warmth, strength, and caring heart will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life was held in Coral Springs, Florida on what would have been Linda's 76th birthday. Future celebrations are in the works in both Michigan and Florida.
