Lois A.
Madonia
Feb 16, 1935 — Sep 24, 2024
Lois Agnes Madonia, 89, transitioned peacefully on September 24, 2024.
Lois will be remembered most for her love of reading and her sense of style. Her values harkened to a bygone era when ladies wore pearls and the Amy Vanderbilt "Book of Etiquette" was required reading.
Lois was a voracious reader and often devoured 3 books per week. A goal she saved for retirement was to read the bible in its entirety. Upon her passing, she'd completed reading it 3 times.
Lois worked in the travel business, starting her career as a flight attendant and finishing her career at Christopher Newport College teaching students about the travel industry. She was a foodie before it was a term, and 3 course meals were standard fair in her household. Her pasta sauce was legendary.
Lois is preceded in passing by the love of her life, Frank Michael Madonia Sr, her husband; and many other family and friends.
Lois is survived by her three children, daughter Marian, and sons, Frank Jr and Mark; and her grandchildren.
