Luis "Lucho or Luchin" Miguel Fernández passed away on August 29, 2022 in Margate, Florida. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.

Luis was born in Bogota, Colombia on May 28, 1953, the eldest brother of eleven siblings.  He came to this country when he was only 18 years old looking for the American dream and with the help of his family he achieved that.

He loved making things with his hands.  Early in his career he made holograms and that little black stripe in the back of credit cards, yep he did that! And for fun he enjoyed working around the house especially when "abuelito" was around to help. Painting geometric figures with neon paint was also one of the things he loved to do.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Ana Morales; his son, Alexander Fernandez; his loving brothers and sisters as well as his nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 17 ^th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at:
