Martin Montefel passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 89, in Margate, FL.

Martin is survived by his children, Melissa Montefel and Steven Getz; grandchildren, Jackie (Jon) Newborn, Eric Getz, Brianna Greenblatt & Isabel (Nathan Rodriguez) Greenblatt; great grandchild, Bryce Newborn; and sister, Barbra Minch. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Diana F. Montefel, and wife, Diana B. Montefel.

Marty was born in Queens, NY and raised in Brooklyn.  After a stint in the Army, he was destined to be a salesman, first at El Al Airlines, then at TWA. His career continued into travel sales and guiding tours, however he eventually found his calling in financial planning.

Marty absolutely loved to talk and be around people. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins. He adored travel and was able to visit nearly every state in the U.S. and many countries around the world. Marty made friends every where he went.

He was a family man who cherished his grandchildren.  Even during this last year while suffering from dementia, he remembered to call all four of them to check in on what they were up to. He will be greatly missed.
