Obituary

Mary Mollo, 55 years old, of Boca Raton, Florida, was a Christian woman and a fighter her entire life. She fought for things that were right and things that mattered in life. She fought hard and won the battle and war on June 19, 2026, when she beat cancer and peacefully entered eternity to her home in Heaven beside her King Jesus Christ and her parents. Mary was god-daughter to Judi Mollo-Simone. Mary was one of two children born to Thomas Mollo Jr and Florence Mollo. Mary has one brother, Thomas Mollo III, sister in law Kendra Mollo, neice Gianna Szafran (Mollo) Jacob Szafran, great- nephews Elijah and Joshua Szafran, great niece Amelia Szafran, nephew Thomas Mollo IV and his fiancé Savannah Vavrina, nephew Jonathan (Jojo) Mollo, nieces Isabella Mollo, Paige Mollo, and Sabrina Mollo and nephew Chrisopher Mollo as well as MANY cousins, family members, and friends in her family. Mary was proudly born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and celebrated her upbringing there throughout her life. Mary was a nurse and passionate feline rescuer and advocate who actually got a law changed to protect ferral cats. Mary lived in Boca Raton, Florida with her boy friend Peter Freglette, whom she was friends with since she was 7 years old. Mary was FULL of life and energy her whole life and everyone who met and or knew her, immediately loved her and treated her like their own family, especially her life long friend Suzie Castagna. Mary's  favorite flower was the sunflower and she loved music and dressing up and dancing her entire life. Her love, bad-a$$ attitude, generosity, smile and infectious laugh will be sorely missed until we see her again in Heaven.
There will be a small memorial celebration of her life on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Calvary Chapel Boca Raton located at 1551 West Camino Real, Boca Raton, Florida 33486 at 3pm followed by a quaint gathering of close family and friends.
There will also be a full memorial service and celebration of Mary's life on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Rock Solid Church located at 334 Union Street, Hudson, NY 12534 at 12pm followed by a graveside interment at St Sylvias Cemetery located on route 9G in Tivoli, NY.  There will be a gathering of friends and family at Rock Solid Church following the interment.
Feel free to make donations to Feline Friends cat rescue and inquire about adopting one of Mary's many house cats to care for in Mary's absence.
