Michael E. de Pinillos, 59, of Parkland, FL passed away on December 6, 2021. An American born abroad in Cuba on March 9, 1962 to Miguel and Delia de Pinillos, he was their only child. They returned to America when Michael was two years old.
Michael poured his heart into his work. He was a strong businessman, creating a successful family business running yacht charters. Blessed with a good, kind heart, Michael always helped others and tried to make them laugh. Always finding humor in life kept him positive when he had bad days. He mentored many within the industry; he was smart and honest.
Within his personal life, Michael was obsessed with his Hummer and loved his dog, Winnie. Michael's greatest love, however, was his family. Meeting Miriam in Port Chester, NY at ages 10 and 11, they were childhood friends. While in college, they began dating and soon realized they had found their soulmates within each other and were married in 1985. In 1987 they relocated to Florida, moving to several cities before settling in Parkland. They celebrated 36 years of marriage in September. Michael and Miriam had one daughter who was the light in their lives and she took after Michael in many ways. He was proud of her as she had just as big of a heart as he did, and she was blessed with his same sense of humor.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Miriam; and daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jay De La Vina.
