Michael Anthony Forbes, 60, of Kingston, Jamaica, passed away on July 16, 2022 in Margate, Florida. Michael was born in Kingston on December 27, 1961 to Sydney Forbes and Jasmine Baines. He attended high school at St. Mary's College and later transferred to St. George's College to complete his high school studies. After leaving high school, he worked for one of Jamaica's leading newspapers in Kingston, The Gleaner Company. After his short tenure there, he gained employment with Airlift Handlers Jamaica Limited where he was stationed at the Norman Manley Airport. While working he attended The University of the West Indies (Open Campus), where he attained a degree in Supervisory Management. After 36 years with Airlift Handlers Jamaica Limited, he ended his career as their Operations Manager in 2021.

He enjoyed watching cricket, football (known in the US as soccer), and listening to Reggae music by the likes of the late and great Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Dennis Brown. He entered into the Seventh Day Adventist Church after being baptized in 2006 where he served as a deacon, Sabbath School Teacher, Youth's Ministry Leader, and Elder.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly; his children, Everton "Junior", Peta-Gaye "Trudy", and MJ; and his beloved grandson, Davion. He also leaves his siblings, Claudette, Richard, and Donovan to cherish his memory. Visitation will be held at Monarch Funeral Home on August 11, 2022, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST, with a service beginning at 2:00 PM and repast to follow until 5:00 PM EST. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor George Percival Williams, who was also the pastor who had baptized Michael in Jamaica. Pastor Williams now serves in the Seventh Day Adventist circuit of churches in Cooper City and Hollywood, Florida.
