Obituary

Michael Roth Gordon was born January 2, 1928 as an American born abroad in Dundee, Scotland. He went to heaven on April 7, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Peter Gordon and Jessie Ogg Petrie Campbell Gordon; sister, Margie (age 11); brothers, Jack and Andy; grandson, Matthew (age 24); as well as his beloved wife of 70 years, Florence Dinkelmeyer Gordon. He is survived by his daughter, Gale; sons, Michael Jr. and Glenn; sister, Helen; and brother, Malcolm. He has five grandchildren and four great grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Michael was a hardworking man who valued his family and his country. He graduated early from high school to join the Air Force. He was based in Mississippi and then went to Japan and Philippines. He was honorably discharged as Sgt USAF.

Michael had a very blessed life traveling the world with his wife, Florence as well as with many of their friends and family. Traveling started with his young family camping, enjoying snorkeling, diving with this sons, and fishing when the occasion presented itself. Later years were spent cruising as the choice of travel; east and west of the US, Caribbean, Mexico, Panama Canal, Mediterranean, and the UK.

He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Per his request, there will not be a funeral service. A graveside service will be held privately when he is laid to rest in Sebring, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or any Veteran organization.
