It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Minerva Garcia Melendez, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Minerva departed this world on May 12, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered.

Minerva is survived by her devoted children: Rocky and Marlene Melendez of Galivants Ferry, South Carolina; Mitch and Dawn Melendez of Coconut Creek, Florida; and Andy and Elsa Melendez of Clermont, Florida. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Mitch Melendez Jr., Shamira Melendez, Melissa and Justin Rose, Mia Melendez, Andre Melendez and Ashley Love, Jonah Gioglio, Luis and Nicole Melendez. Additionally, Minerva's great-grandchildren, Maya, Julissa, Juliana, Lyla, Anthony, Gio, Jaxon, Charlie, and Leilani, brought immense joy to her life. In addition to her beloved family, Minerva is survived by many, many friends who looked up to her as their mother figure.

Preceding Minerva in death are her beloved husband, Andres Melendez, and daughter, Yanira Melendez-Lalsie whose memories she held dear until the end.

Minerva's life was a testament to her love for nurturing others. She found joy in tending to her beloved plants and creating delicious meals in the kitchen and spending her days with her beloved dog, Chicky. To those who knew her, Minerva was more than just a mother figure; she was a beacon of support, guidance, and protection. Her smile could light up the darkest of rooms, and her playful spirit endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Minerva's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light, illuminating our lives with the warmth of her love and the memories we shared together.

In honoring Minerva's life, let us find comfort in the cherished moments we shared and the love that will continue to bind us together. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
