Nubia Torres, age 80, of Margate, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on June 1, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on August 27, 1943 in Huila, Colombia, to the late Cecilia Gonzalez.

Nubia was a devoted and loving wife, a nurturing and caring mother, and an adored grandmother. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She never missed a day of The Price Is Right and loved spending time playing board games, like Parcheesi as well as the occasional Candy Crush. She also enjoyed nothing more than laughing and dancing into the late hours with her family all around.

She married Guillermo Torres, Sr. in 1978, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and devotion.

Nubia is survived by her devoted husband, Guillermo Torres, Sr.; her four loving children and their spouses, Sandra (Juan Manuel) Grisales, Anabella (Mauricio) Menjivar, Andrea (Alejandro) Alonso, and Guillermo (John North) Torres, Jr.; and her five treasured grandchildren, Erika Barahona, Alessandra Barahona, Luis Fernando Barahona, Giovanni Nicholas Rodriguez, and Christian Alejandro Rodriguez. Each of them was deeply touched by her love, wisdom, and kindness.

Nubia's legacy lives on through her family, who will forever remember her as a pillar of strength and a source of endless love and laughter. She always put her family's needs before her own, offering unwavering support and guidance. Her warm smile, gentle touch, and the sparkle in her eyes will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In addition to her immediate family, Nubia leaves behind numerous friends and extended family members who were fortunate to have known her. She had a special gift for making everyone she met feel welcomed and loved.

A memorial service will be held at The Gardens of Boca Raton, 4103 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33431, on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Noon to honor Nubia's life and the incredible impact she had on those around her. Nubia Torres will always be remembered for her boundless love, her dedication to her family, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
