In Loving Memory
Olivia Beliard Registe

On October 25, 2022, our "Father" called our most precious and beloved Olivia Beliard Registe home to rest. Olivia passed away peacefully during her long bout with grave ailments, leaving a huge and irreparable hole in our hearts.

Olivia B. Registe was born on April 4, 1935, in Acul du Nord, Haiti, to the proud parents, Manilia Saintil and Beliard Michel who both preceded her in death. Olivia's family and friends called her "Tant Marie" which means "Aunt Marie." As a teenager, Olivia moved to Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, where she went to school and worked. She later met and united in holy matrimony to her lifetime love, Mileon Regis on April 6, 1964. The loving couple raised their children in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti. In search of a retirement oasis in 1997, they migrated to Brooklyn, New York. A few years later, they relocated to Pompano Beach, FL, where they both resided in perfect harmony as a very compassionate elderly couple, taking excellent care of each other.

Olivia (Tant Marie) will be missed for numerous reasons. Most importantly, she will be remembered for the unconditional love she had and shared with her family and friends and her willingness to help anyone in need. Olivia (Tant Marie) was a hard worker, a loving and compassionate wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie cousin, and friend to all who knew her. Tant Marie was always full of life and willing to share that life, helping anyone in need. She clearly indicated to her children to ensure everyone had lots to eat at her repast. She declared in Creole, "Lè m mouri, nan fineray mwen, se pou nou bay tout moun anpil manje, vant deboutonnen." She clearly enjoyed feeding people and ensuring no one was hungry, in her presence.

We will certainly miss Tant Marie's smile, laughter, sage advice, and bubbly personality. Today, as we sit here, reflecting on Tant Marie's life, please know how much she loved her family and friends unconditionally and how much they loved her too. We ask that you are not saddened by her departure; but, instead, celebrate her life. Thank you for being here to honor her memory. Olivia (Tant Marie) loved all of us and her memory will live on for many years to come. May she rest in eternal peace!
