Patricia Barbara
Newman
Apr 29, 1937 — May 9, 2026
Patricia Barbara Newman, 89, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on May 9th, 2026 in Lantana, Florida.
Pat was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 29, 1937 to Anna Eisenhardt and Meyer Goldstein. She attended Olney High School in Philadelphia, graduating in 1954. She went on to earn a degree/certificate in Nursing from Jersey City State College.
She worked as a Nurse for Bergen Pines Hospital for 5 years. Later, she co-founded RTW, a rehabilitation company, alongside three other dedicated nurses. She also worked for Abigail Michaels AR Department.
Pat had a passion for life that showed in everything she did. She enjoyed playing canasta, golfing, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling. An accomplished golfer, Pat achieved three holes-in-one over the course of her golf life — and while some called it luck, those who knew her were convinced it was the product of precision, patience, and study.
Pat was also deeply committed to her community, and was involved with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue, Temple Shaarei Shalom, and JAFCO, an organization that helps children and families in the Jewish community.
Pat is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Sanvil Newman, and her parents, Anna and Meyer Goldstein.
Patricia is lovingly survived by her daughter, Abbie Newman of New York City; her son, Abraham Newman of Naples, Florida; her grandchildren, Lindsey Elekonich, Ashley Newman, and Alessandro Santoro; and her great-grandchild, Cameron.
A Memorial will be held on Sunday, May 17th at 11:00am at The Vi in Lantana.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to Temple Shaarei Shalom , "Our Children's Scholarship Fund," used to help families meet their religious School obligations to the Temple.
