Our dear mother, Phyllis Mangan, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the age of 85.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Dermot A. Mangan Jr and his wife Anna Mangan, Susan Mangan and her husband Manny Arregoitia; grandchildren, Mary Mangan, Dermot A. Mangan lll and his wife Amanda Mangan; and her great-grandchildren Bella Mae and Dermot Mangan lV.
Preceded by our father, Dermot A. Mangan; her son, Patrick J. Mangan; her mother, Agnes Rega; and her brothers, Joseph Rega and his wife Lorraine Rega, and John Rega and his wife Beverly Rega.

The matriarch of our family!

Phyllis loved entertaining where family and friends spent hours around the table enjoying great meals filled with love, laughter, and happiness. Family always came first, but her heart and home was open to anyone who crossed her path. Phyllis was called mom by so many who felt her love and kindness, as well as her no nonsense attitude. She always offered a helping hand and gave counsel where needed, even at times when it was not asked for, having a lasting impact on their lives.

Phyllis was a strong, hard-working person. The owner of Philomena's Italian Restaurant in Pompano Beach, where she loved watching everyone enjoy her homemade Italian specialties.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, decorating, and most of all, those road trips to discover new dining options and a glass of fine wine or a beefeater martini.
