On June 10, 2022, Rene Rodriguez Jr. passed away in Fort Lauderdale of a heart attack at the age of 49.

Rene Rodríguez, Jr. is survived by his mother and step-father, Maria Vazquez and Jose Montalvo of Fort Lauderdale; his children, Evelyn Rodriguez, Rene Rodríguez Jr ll, Robert Rodriguez, Skye Perez, Justin Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, and Joshua Rodriguez; and siblings, Reina Rodriguez, Noemi Rodriguez and Carmen Montalvo. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Eris Iinaya, Noah, Gabe, Avery, Javier, Maria, and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marcos Colon, and father, Rene Rodriguez Sr.

Rene Rodriguez, Jr. was born on Thursday, August 31, 1972 in Bronx, New York. He graduated from Alfred E. Smith Houses L.E.S New York in 1989 and went on to work in construction doing what he had a passion for- building houses.

Rene shined on the lanes, he loved bowling and always won the games with super high scores. He enjoyed playing spades and billiards as well. He was a family man, the glue that made us stick together. On weekends and holidays he always loved getting us together to play dominoes or spades and had frequent cookouts or picnics with all of the family and friends. He enjoyed talking to everyone and helped anyone he could.
