Richard Raymond Dickens, 79, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on February 10, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on October 30, 1944, and later moved to Arlington, Texas in 1952. Richard was a proud graduate of Arlington High School. He dedicated 21 years of service to the U.S. Navy, retiring as an officer, and subsequently served 23 years as a Letter Carrier with the United States Postal Service.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Riddles of Wisconsin; his parents, Raymond (Bill) and Velva L. Dickens; his brother, Tyrone; and sister-in-law, Betty Lue.

He is survived by his loving wife, Andreia Barboza Dickens, and an extensive family of in-laws in Brazil. Richard also leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Valerie Dickens D'Entremont; son, Richard Dickens Jr.; daughter-in-law, Dineen Dickens; several stepchildren, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four nieces, and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Richard's life on Wednesday, February 28th. The visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Monarch Funeral Home, 2950 N. State Rd. 7, Margate, Florida followed by the funeral service at 11:30 am. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL.
